About

Holly Lam was called to the Bar in 2023 after over a decade as a litigator, both in private practice and in-house. 

Holly specialises in corporations law; commercial litigation; insolvency; building, construction and infrastructure; and competition and consumer claims. 

She has acted for financial institutions, businesses, directors, shareholders and insolvency practitioners in proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia and Supreme Court of New South Wales in relation to Corporations Act 2001 matters such as winding up applications; voidable transactions; breach of directors’ duties and fiduciary duties; shareholder oppression claims; just and equitable winding ups; setting aside winding up orders; and liquidators’ examinations. 

She also regularly advises and appears in disputes in all NSW Courts and Tribunals involving breaches of contract; sale of business; fraud; partnerships; misleading and deceptive conduct; and property developments.   

Holly has significant experience with building and construction disputes and frequently appears in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court of NSW for owners, developers, head contractors and subcontractors in claims involving building defects, delays, overpayments and liquidated damages.
